COPYRIGHT AND LICENSING
I. Music
Q. How do I account for performing rights (i.e. ASCAP, BMI and/or SESAC) for music used in feature films or television?
A. Under our standard license, if you are releasing a feature film or tv project with a production budget of over $200,000 USD (inclusive of the marketing, advertising, and promotions budget), you must provide ASCAP, BMI and SESAC or your local performance rights organization with a CUE SHEET. You must provide us with a copy of the CUE SHEET within thirty (30) days of each broadcast performance use. The CUE SHEET is necessary to ensure that the appropriate performance royalty organization secures payment from the broadcasting company for the benefit of the copyright owners.
Q. How many units of a product can I sell that contains music from SerafineCollective.com under your standard license?
A. You may manufacture and sell a product of up to 10,000 units that contains music from SerafineCollective.com. If you wish to produce over 10,000 units, please contact us to obtain a special license.
Q. May I add vocals and additional instrumental to your music and sell the resulting song on my own album?
A. No. Under our Conditions of Use, adding your own vocals or additional instrumentation to our existing tracks to create your own song is strictly prohibited.
II. Photos, Video, and Visual Effects
Q. Can I use your Photos, Videos and Visual Effects on web sites, multimedia presentations, and broadcast film and video?
